Omg, I was just about to ask this same question. I started teh active pills day 1 of my period adn it has now lasted 9 days...and counting. And it was sooo heavy w/ clots all over, I was so sick w/ cramps. Finally it looked like it was slowing down yesterday and stopping today. I go to the bathroom tonite & it's totally heavy & on again. This has been craziness, is this what bc does? Why is this happening? To make matters worse, I'm never ever on time so was wearing pads for about 1.5 weeks even before I started b/c I never know when it's coming & I had pms really bad. I'm gona be allergic to tampons & pads, too! I just want it to stop...so I feel your pain but sorry I have no idea what's happenign w/ us....

If that is the case you should see your doctor and switch to a different pill. The hormonal makeup of each pill is different and if this one is causing you to have a longer period, you should be switched to a different pill.

When you have the right pill, you'll have a much lighter and shorter period than before..

Perhaps you arent taking the pills properly. Have you started the second pack yet? The allergy is probably just from using them more than usual continuously. Talk to your doctor about it as soon as possible.

That is not cool... When I first started the pill I spotted for what seemed like two months. Things settled down and I now have a 3-4 day period. My Doctor did forewarn me about this... He told me to expect some spotting and even some acne.
