Ladies I need some help! What type of birth control should I take?!

Question: I dont want to take the nuvea ring because its not comfortable. Yes, I do know the risks of blood clots when on birth control. I do use condoms with out a doubt. But sometimes my man and I run out of condoms or dont really want to wear any. So I need help, whats the best birthcontrol out there?...thankx p.s my doctor asks me to tell her which birth control do I want to use and to do research.

If you have had kids or you are over 35, try the IUD (copper) or IUC (mirena). Once it's in there are no worries. Very simple and easy. If you don't qualify for this, then you need to look at the different pills, sponge, diaphragm, or something else. WHATEVER YOU DO< DON"T USE THE PATCH. This was my first type of birth control and I hated it. I gained twenty pounds in the first two months of using it. i was moody. It itched like hell and if you don't stick it on right the first time, it continues to fall off. I spent lots of money on these darn things because when it falls off, you can't get it back on and have to get another one (they come four in a box). Mines kept falling off so much that I got pregnant while using the darn thing.

Well, how about the IUD? Or you could use birth control pills, but they can have side effects. Or how about a diaphragm?

It depends on what you are looking for in your birth control...it may take a couple of tries to find one that works for you.

There are many different kinds of pills out there..low hormone ones, ones that decrease or elimate your periods. They are very effective when taken correctly.

There is the nuvaring which goes inside your vagina and stays there..won't come out during sex, showers etc. Check out www.nuvaring.com

If you have already had at least one child, and what a birth control that lasts for up to 5 years then there the IUD. I personally have one and I love it. If you want more info on it check out www.merina-us.com

There is also the depo shot which lasts for 3 months at a time. This one is rather iffy though because some women love it and some women hate it. I personally am one who hate it...I had my period the ENTIRE 3 months.

All birth control has different effects on different women. Some cause you to gain weight, have mood swings, heavier or lighter periods...etc

Hope this helps.
