TSS is extremely rare. In fact, most doctor's will never see a case of TSS. The symptoms of TSS include SUDDEN high fever (at least 102 degrees), vomiting, dizziness, watery diarrhea, headache, and muscle aches. Within 24 hours, a sunburn-like rash appears. If it's been 4 days and you aren't dead or in the hospital I'm sure you do not have TSS. You may just be making yourself sick worrying about it.
You used a tampon for 16 hrs? What were you thinking? Anyways go see a doctor immediately. Whats done is done.

Actually the damage is done but you should have passed out in about 24-48 hours go to a doc to be on the safe side because the only over time tampon disease is not tss.
I'm embarassed to say that i used a light tampon towards the end of my period and forgot that I had put the sucker in there. Ten hours later I was feeling nauseated and dizzy. I went to take a bath and realized I still had the thing in there. I took it out and by the next morning the dizziness and nausea were gone. i always get those feelings if I leave them in too long, but they usually go away after a few hours. If yours isn't going away, go to a doctor.
