Women..have any of you ever used the Diva Cup instead of pads or tampons?!

Question: I am considering trying but not sure if it works. Feedback would be great. Thanks!

its not gross at all. I just started using INSTEAD. its very easy to insert and you dont even feel it. if you take it out correctly there is no mess whatsoever. you just have to learn your body and your flow to know when you have to empty it. the instead is good for 12 hrs on normal flow days. Heavier days are less.

no I stick with tampons.
that thing must hurt like a *****!

the whole idea of that is gross..... ick

um no i would deff stick with tampons.. that cup could cause other problems i think .. i just dont' think its safe not even just trying it

I use the Keeper which is the same as a Diva cup but made out of different material. It doesn't hurt at all and I never have leaks. This was big for me since I bleed a lot and always leaked. I love it and will never go back to using anything else! It takes some getting used to and I recommend wearing latex gloves to take it out and put it in so your hands don't get as messy but the small extra cost of gloves is so worth it. I have never felt cleaner during my period. I even like it better than the disposable cup called the Instead SoftCup. The cups don't cause other problems because the DivaCup is made with medical grade silicon. The cups don't cause TSS like tampons do because instead of absorbing the blood like tampons they simply hold the blood. Another nice thing is that since it's reusable you can practice putting it in and taking it out before your period starts. Don't get discouraged if you find it hard to use at first. Some women just aren't used to it but it doesn't take much to figure it out. Those other posters haven't used the cup so what do they know? Don't bash it til you try it. I'm never going back.

I found it to be gross. It was convenient up to the removal and then it was all downhill from there.
