How can i get rid of a reoccuring yeast infection please be specific im desperat!

Question: Go to the doctor. She can give you more powerful medicine than the over-the-counter treatments. There's a pill (Diflucan) and a cream. When I was having yeast infections every three months, my gyno had me use the cream three months in a row, and I haven't had one since.

Do you take a lot of antibiotics? This can increase your chances of a yeast infection. So can having uncontrolled blood sugar. Women who use a steroid asthma inhaler or take Prednisone are also prone to yeast infections.

Don't douche! Douching clears out your vagina's defenses against infections. Stay away from vaginal sprays, too.

If you use pantyliners, make sure you change them every four hours. Dry your vaginal area thoroughly but gently after showers. Wear white cotton panties, and sleep in a nightgown and no undies. Airing yourself out will help. Use unscented pads and tampons. If you're overweight, try to get back to a normal weight. Use dye- and perfume-free detergent (All Free & Clear is good.) Use unscented soap, like Aveeno, to clean your vaginal area.

Does your partner have any itching or redness in his groin area? If so, he should go to the doctor and see if he has a yeast infection, too.

Taking a dose of Lacidophilus, and/or eating yogurt, each day might help, too. It helps replenish the vaginal flora. Putting yogurt in your vagina isn't a proven treatment, though.

Finally, some women swear by boric acid suppositories. Your pharmacist might be willing to make some up for you.

I'm going through the same thing and will be watching the answers you get.

Good luck, miserable isn't it!

If you are correctly treating yourself with the right product and this isn't for oral thrush, then get your partner to treat themselves too.

You can buy over-the-counter creams and pessaries these days so may not need to consult a doctor, if they work for you. If they don't work for both of you, then get a prescription for both of you as it may have a higher percentage of the active ingredient.

You need to see your doctor. he or she will prescribe diflucan. It is a pill.

Some physical conditions, such as diabetes, can cause reoccuring yeast infections. Get a physical to rule out that or other physical problems. Be sure to tell the doctor any medications you are taking because they too can be the problem.
You can also make sure you wear cotton panties (they make them very pretty these days,) wear a panty shield everyday and carry extras to stay dry.
Use perfume free detergents, avoid vaginal sprays to control odors (some panty shields have baking soda and that is fine for controlling odor.) Finally, don't wear very tight pants.
Good luck.

If your having a reoccuring yeast infection thats not clearing up with canestan or monistat you need to go to your doctor and prescribed something stronger. I dont know how your living this, you poor thing, that sucks!!

Good luck!!

oh i know, i know! get the book called the "yeast syndrome" it will tell u all u need to know!

OK this is very important dear alot of times u will have sugar diabetes so go to the DR. believe me i have 2 friends and thats how they found out she was diabetic dont take bathes- dont use spray cologne there -never use a different type of soap stick with whats working-never keep having sex in the same position-avoid tight clothing-dont wear panty liners that makes it nice moist and warm for bacteria to grow-eat lots of yogurt and drink cranberry juice -try not to think to much about it or it will itch even more omg now make sure u have been given the tablet diflucan it will help FAST we all know how desperate we become when we itch there ouchhhhhhh

Be sure to see the doctor and tell him/her of any medications you are taking because they too can be the problem.
Make sure you wear cotton panties (Victoria's Secret sell some very pretty ones). Try to sleep bottomless, this means no undies, no shorts, no pyjama bottom - NOTHING!
Use perfume-free detergents, perfume-free and non antibacterial soaps (you may want to start out with Ivory brand or Dove). You may have to buy one type of soap for your body and another brand for "down there". Do not use vaginal sprays or deodorants in an attempt to mask odours. Wear dresses or skirts. If you must wear pants, wear cotton leggings under the pants. As soon as you get home, get comfortable and remove all unnecessary clothing.
If you use condoms try not to use the ones that contain nonoxynyl (sp?). Stay away from those "cute" little sensual items such as "motion lotion", edible undies or anything that contains artificial colour, flavor and chemicals.
Good luck.

I would like to suggest you try our Negative Ion Sanitary Napkins and by using our Anion Pad will result in an odor free and healthier you!

Do you Know? Most Sanitary napkins are made from Bleached and Recycled Papers? Do you know the sanitary pads are getting cheaper and cheaper? Why??

Most Sanitary napkins may cause rashes, inflammation and even Urinary Tract Infections (UTI)?

Most Women are prone to alot of Vaginal/Bacterial infections during their Menstrual Period?

Special features of Negative Ion Sanitary Napkin?

Every Sanitary Napkin comes with a Negative Ion Strip. When the Negative Ion Strip comes into contact with menses, it will send out negative ions which will produce large quantities of oxygen. The oxygen produced will kill the bacteria and viruses it comes into contact with.
Negative ions will move up the womb through the vagina, improving blood circulation. Thus the blood clot stored in the vagina will be discharged more smoothly. The womb can be repaired and improvements can be expected in 3-5 days. Then, inflammation disappears and no smell is left.

Love Moon Negative Ion Sanitary Napkins can effectively restrict the growth and survival of bacteria and viruses, activates metabolism, improves secretion, and increases immunity. They are also effective in adjusting pressure, resisting bacteria, reducing inflammation, reduce odor and removing tiredness.

Each Package of Sanitary Napkins comes with a Self-test Kit. The Self-test card holds a patent rights. It is used mainly for comparing the before and after use of the negative ion sanitary napkin and for the analysis of the health quality of the genitalia. It is suggested to use the Negative Ion Sanitary Napkin together with the self-test card so as to trace any improvement after using.

FAQ - Anion Sanitary Napkins
How often must Anion Sanitary Napkins be changed?

For Anion Sanitary Napkins, it is advisable to change it in 4 hours, as bacteria is being eliminated and high absorbency, it will be safe to use it at a longer durations. As for other brands, it is advisable to change it in 2 hours, most of the brand does not have anti-bacteria functions and low absorbency, therefore bacteria will exist as long as the menstruation blood is on the sanitary pad. It is not good for health.
