My gf gets recurring yeast infections, any ideas?!

Question: Just about every month, my gf gets a yeast infection. This has been ongoing for a while and we arent quite sure what is causing it. This is what we know:

-No STD's (have both been tested repeatedly)
-Birth Control (Ive heard these pills can do it, but some Dr's say absolutely not)
-Antibiotics or OTC treatments dont work well at all

I hate to see her in pain and it puts a damper on our sex life. We are pretty much baffled as to what is causing it. She doesnt always wear super tight jeans/underoos or stay in wet bathing suits like most sites say is the cause. Should she switch birth control brands? Any ideas would be really helpful...thanks!

It is possible that you two are passing it back and forth. Are you waiting long enough for the infection to clear up?

This might be a personal question, but does she go to the bathroom (pee) after you two have intercourse? If not, that could be the cause of the infections.

If yogurt and cranberry juice helped then she should be doing that. A vitamin that has those ingredients in them would also help.

If her doctor is not giving any advice, she needs to find a better doctor!

You should be checked for a yeast infection. Yes, guys can get them too. And the two of you could just be giving this yeast infection back and forth.

Antibiotics can also cause a yeast infection. If she is taking any, she should ask her doctor.

Condoms may also be doing this to her too. Look into that.

Some girl are just prone to getting yeast infections. She should talk to her doctor about prevention of them. Maybe there is something else she could be doing. There may even be over-the-counter meds she could use to prevent them...

u say its about once every month...notice that just like a womans menstral cycle...so im guessing her periods are causing it. maybe when she is on her period she needs to clean her self more often and be extra careful to keep her self clean

Ping Pong Vaginitis...since you don't use a condom(until she has an immunity to this, and it might take a few years, wear one, please), and she's given up on the yogurt and cran.....

Yogurt is in so MANY flavors these days!!! Not those teeny cups either...I'm talking mega cartons...she can flavor her own, or make her own...cran is in different flavors too...

Condoms, yogurt, and cran are way cheaper than doctor's visits and antibiotics....has she tried the one day cure...starts with an 'M'.....that REALLY works...

Yeast infection could be on skin one affected it neds to get it alright .
Please ENSURE she is seen by a skin specialist and after he sees will give medicine to cure within a week or so,
