Tampons?????!

Question: Where does the tampon go in? I was trying to find an opening for it, and I couldn't find where it goes... I am sorry if this is a weird question. I am 13 years old... How do I get it in? I have no mom and my only sister is younger... I just need some advice???

My advice to you is to try and read the directions on the box which comes with pictures. It's far easier and a better explanation than I think any of us on here can give you. Since you are still rather young, you may be better off using pads until you have matured a bit. Being as how you don't know where they go, I take it you are not sexually active (which is a good thing). Tampons may be a bit uncomfortable for you at this stage as well. If I were you, I'd suggest talking to your school nurse (if it's a female) or to your school guidance counselor (if it's a female) for additional advice :)

There are directions on the box.

read the instructions in the box

Read the instructions on the box!
They help loads.
Use the mirror to look down there.
There should be 2 holes.
One you pee through and a bigger one which is your vagina.
Put it through the bigger one.

There are directions on the box.

um there are only two holes, so it shouldnt be that hard. What hole does the blood come out? Thats the hole you put it in.

the instructions on the box have pictures and such

I thinking Of Inventing a new slit Tron with a strap on with replacment filters and a smoth gelly case Tampons and Maxi pads ewe

sounds like you're a virgin don't upset your hymen by trying to get that in OOOOWWWWCH! between the booty and the small urine tract end

lol i had similar questions
this site explained everything

uhhhh there's directions on the box.
it hurts at first; just so you know.
unless you have a wide set vagina... then you'll be ok

Ok sweetie, you are going to have to be more hands on. You need to go to the bathroom and practice. We all did this and is totally normal. There are 2 holes down there. You need to find the hole that isn't your butt.

Goodluck!

Try using your finger to find the hole first, if your hymen is intact it may be a little painful or bleed a little, but use your finger first to understand the shape of your vagina. It should be easy to insert your finger, use a little lubricant if necessary, and stay relaxed, its harder if you tense up. To insert the tampon aim it up and back (towards your rear passage) as it goes in. You don't say if it has an applicator or not... you might find an applicator tampon easier... the instructions will be in the box... or google it for a diagram.

Follow instructions on box, but being of a medical background (EMT) I feel obligated to advise you that at your age, tampons place you at risk for a serious medical condition known as Toxic Shock Syndrome, you may want consider pads instead. There should be information about this inside the box.

i had this same problem....

well put it in the bigger hole and with toilet paper try to wipe and you should feel and opening..... put it up until your fingers tought it then press and oull the plastic part out. then dont forget to take the tampon out. those directions did not hel me at all and my mom had to put mine in the first time hope it helps you

look at the instructions in the box
but there is a hole there around the middle of your between legs it needs to go in at and angle also
and if it hurts stop and re try
also if your having trouble spread your legs squat and feel
Good luck
and have a great day and a fantastic tomorrow

there should be directions on the box. i personally stick with pads. make shore u have the right size( i would go for small) your not suppose to leave them in all night, i think most people do though. i don't rilly know. im 15, i got my period at 9. i have tryed tampons a lot they never work, always anoying. good luck

there is usually a nice diagram in the instructions inside the box of the tampons. i would suggest you stick with pads until you get older but if you choose to use tampons start with something skinny and with cardboard applicators such as: playtex pearls, or playtex gentle glide. here is a site for you to visit for any other feminine needs: http://www.avert.org/puberty2.htm, here is the diagram:http://www.youngwomenshealth.org/Images/... and another one that can be helpful:http://www.youngwomenshealth.org/hymen.h... I think the last link is the most helpful. If you need any other advice let me know.

Ok, im 15, if that makes you feel any better. What you want to do is take the tampon, relax, place it at the top of your va jay jay (as Oprah called it, lol), slide it down the va jay jay at a slight angle. Naturally it will fall into where its supposed to go if you are relaxed. Insert the tampon, you want to make sure that it is both comfortable and far enough in, if not, it may fall out.. :o also remember to have the string outside the body. (you may not know that...i know i didnt lol) if this doesnt work, try looking at the manual given in the tampon package (i used playtex and it worked perfectly).
