The Gardasil serious side effects' hype?!?!
Question: I just had my first shot today and i got all the usual side effects (pain, my arm aches, etc) but i've been reading up on the side effects and everywhere seems to have this scary story of the girl having to go to the ER or something. Is it really that likely to get those serious side effects? I'm 14 years old and i've never been even moderately sick except for chickenpox in preschool...it can't be too likely to have a serious side effect...right?

Oh my gosh... you'll be fine. :) They HAVE to list everything that might go wrong for legal reasons. DOn't worry about it.
haha uhm i got gardasil and i didnt even know it had side affects and i didnt get any, i was fine, and im 16 btw
You most likely won't get any serious side effects. My daughter just finished her third shot last week and did fine with all of them.
The chance of serious side effects are no different, and probably better, than all kinds of other things you've been vaccinated for or taken meds for (i.e. antibiotics). Don't worry about it.
Same here. 14 (but i got the chickenpox in 1st grade) got the last shot yesterday i never had any serious side effects. just aching. i dont think u have anyhting to worry about. you can look up any kind of shot and im sure you'll find atleast one case gone wrong. but like i said absolutely nothing to worry about!
