Do Cramps Mean Less Fertility?!

Question: While I was complaining of cramps, my friend had told me that she found out if you have severe cramps, it means that you are more likley to be infertile, or just less fertile. Is this true? (When I am married), I want to have children, so I would like to know if this is true now so I can see if it is managable in the future.

no its untrue that severity of cramp is related to fertility. so worry not, cramps are simple muscular contractions to aid empty the uterus only during menses. you can enjoy normal childbearing if you have no other fertility problems.

if you have serious cramps every month, you may have a medical condition called endometriosis which means that you could be infertile due to the disease. have regular muscular cramps just before and during your period, which can be controlled by pain medication, and are not extremely painful (taking time off work, not being able to do anything) are not harmful and do not decrease your fertility.
severe and painful cramps should be assessed by your doctor however they are nothing to worry about if they are not extremeloy painful (which, by your description, are not).
good luck!
