If you are on the combined contraceptive pill (with both oestrogen and progesterone) you can take it up to 12 hours late without any risk of it failing. If it is MORE than 12 hours late, you should use a condom as well for the next week and you may also experience some spotting (like a very light period). You should try and take it at the same time every day though.
If you are on the mini pill (progesterone only), you HAVE to take it at the same time everyday because it doesn't have as big a window (unless you are on Cerazette) and you could risk pregnancy if you are late taking it.

The doctors tell you that you are supposed to take it at the same time everyday, but they also say that when you forget it take it as soon as you remember. Once is not going to be a big deal I wouldn't freak out about it.

Nope You're fine, the only time you have to worry is if you miss it by more then 2 days..then you might need to see the doc before taking anymore pills, just in case you're pregnant..But a few hours isnt a big deal..Just always remember to take it as soon as you remember

no, the pills now are not as touchy as they were before. I would forget one completely & just take 2 the net day sometimes
