How much weight could i actually loose in 5 months?!


Question: i want to loose weight, but being realalistic, with just exercise and eating right, how much could i loose in 5 months?

ive seen people lose hundreds in five months. i say if you just eat healthy/ eat half-portions/ and walk a mile a day you could lose like 30+ pounds in five months without starving yourself

well, i saw a physical trainer, and she told me if you work towards it, as in eating healthy and exercising, 2 pound a week is ideal

It depends on how much you have to lose. How overweight are you? How much exercise are you willing to do?
To lose weight safely, you should lose a pound or two a week. BUT the more weight you have to lose, the more you will lose initially. If you aren't used to working out, you may even gain a little bit at first because you will gain muscle mass. Without knowing any info about you, nobody can really tell you how much you will lose.

if you are a good idea full of fruits and veggies, whole grains and lean meats.
Exercised well without over doing it, you could easily lose 2 lbs a week. 40-50 lbs max

it wouldn't be too healthy to loose more than that

If you want to know the truth, I've lost about 10 pounds in 3 weeks. That was a really bad idea. I barley had a meal a day then. I have no idea what I was thinking.
My point is that a healthy weight loss is maybe 1 or 2 pounds a week. Just because someone is capable of losing allot of weight, doesn't mean its healthy. If you stick to a good diet and exercise and take off the pounds the healthy way, you can get down to 140 in 5 months. I would shoot for 150 though. If you shoot for 150, it might not be such an overwhelming change with the diet and exercise, and your less likley to get dissapointed.
