During the Pap smear test, is the doctor going to break the hymen?!
Question: The doctor will try not to, but some tearing MIGHT occur when he/she inserts and opens the speculum. Be absolutely sure to tell the doctor that you've never had sex and you'd like to keep the hymen intact if at all possible, and they will do their best to accommodate your wishes. However, be aware that in order to give you the BEST treatment possible, sometimes physiology doesn't always cooperate.

No, he's going to brush cells from your cervix.
I...don't think so. When I had my first pap smear it hurt, but it was very quick. she said the reason it did was probably because the hymen was unbroken. I guess it depends because sometimes people say tampons can do it.
