To pee or not to pee?!

Question: Alright for a few weeks I thought I have had a UTI or a yeast infection, but people have told me that it is not true as it does not burn or itch when I pee or when I am just watching t.v. So what else do you think it could be? Or could it be one of those things even though it does not itch or hurt when I pee? Also at the most I go to the bathroom once every 2-3 hours as I heard somewhere that that is the recommended time. Sometimes I go a little more but that is only if I have a lot to drink or eat. Also do you think I may have been going more because I had my period.

having to go the the restroom alot is not a sign of any kind of infection. You could be retaining some fluid in your bladder, which doesn't empty completely all the time. But going every 2-3 hours is normal, it normal to go to the bathroom up to 8 times a day. I know because I have an overactive bladder and have gone through two research projects to find an answer why. Keep drinking the liquids, especially water, and if you have to go to the restroom soon after, that could be considered normal. What you describe is completely normal.

It is normal, just maybe you have a small bladder and it needs emptied more often.
If it does start to burn or itch I would go into the doctor to get it checked out.

you pee alot
before your period

If you are not actually in pain, then what is the problem? Why do you think you have a yeast infection or a UTI if you don't have any symptoms? Only a doctor can determine what is really wrong with you. Another thing you could do in the meantime is go to the drugstore, and buy a vagisil screening kit. It might tell you if you have an infection. Also, being on your period has nothing to do with how often you go to the bathroom.

The more often you empty your bladder, the less bacteria build up, the lower the risk for developing a UTI. If you delay using the bathroom on a regular-basis, the bladder may become overfull, causing it to distend or stretch out. This may impact your ability to empty your bladder completely, which might make you have to pee more often, since you lose storage space.
Some women notice they get more prone to cystitis while on their period, so if your urine is clear, smell-free, and you are sure it's not a UTI, follow common sense advice.
Use cotton underwear (especially during your menses), drink enough water so your urine comes out clear, wipe from front to back, wash thoroughly with a mild soap and avoid staying with damp underclothes (or swimsuits) for long periods of time.
