First, start with a marvelous product before you shave there. Here is what you really should do to start. Bathe in warm water and let the pubic area soak about 5 minutes. Then use a product especially for shaving, called "coochy" (it is a rash free shave cream). Let it stay there for about 5 minutes while you are waiting you could condition your hair or something. THEN you shave your pubic area..now guys will tell you go with the hair growth, but it doesnt work that way for us women. To get the shave WE want, baby smooth, you have to go against the hair growth.
It's all in the preparation. Apply a bit of coochy to the area when you are done too. It softens and protects the area.
And dont use any regular like lotions, they sometimes have alcohol in them and will burn like the dickens.

Bikini Zone is supposed to prevent them. Saw on another post not to wear underwear for a couple days after. Personally I just don't shave it bare, I use a bikini trimmer. Its almost bare but not totally, so no red bumps, itching or ingrown hairs.
its the shavin thats producin the red bumps be cuz it irrated ya skin....suggestin u can either use a different type of razer or shavin crim or if u dont wann do dat instead of shavin the opposite way by shavin towards it of which the hair is grownin u shud shave with the hair...thats all i cud say
