How long is too long?!
Question: I have a diagnosed spinal condition that is progressive. They tell me to pay attention to my symptoms. I don't wanna sound crazy, but how long is too long for the brain's message to get to the bladder allowing you to pee? I have to concentrate and it still takes more time than I am comfortable with.

The fact that you have to sit there and wait and then ask us is "too long" . Please talk to your doctor about this condition---there is a chance that it is not related to your progressive spinal disease and should be checked out --your bladder that is..........good luck to you....and don't sweat the exam- it should consist of an IVP which is an xray of the kidneys and bladder- or a CAT scan- where they inject dye and watch how fast your bladder fills--and you may have a congenital abnormality like I do- my ureter which is the tube from the kidney down into the bladder doesn't just go straight down into the bladder- it loops up and then in like a half of an S- which causes a delay for me and can cause the urine to back up the ureter to the kidney.........no biggie....but get checked out..........good luck to you.!
