Birth Control Pill?!
Question: I am currently on Mircette but would like to try something else. I have been on it for nearly five years have begun to feel that it is negatively affecting my moods and sex drive. I am going to my Ob/GYN next month and would like to discuss this with her as well. Has anyone had success with other pills?

I am taking Desogen right now and it is an ok option, no issues with mood, but it doesnt shorten/lighten my period as much as Yaz did. I was on Yaz for 9 months and loved it. I would recommend Yaz over anything else i have tried.

it has been wonderful to me
hasnt change anything about me except the size of my breasts, less acne, period more predictable
i did have a change in my weight b/c my appetite has increased but that is normal for all pills
I found when I was on the Pill I couldn't stop eating, with the result - I am now struggling with my weight. I came off the pill and after having my kids I decided no way am I gonna put on more weight with that contraceptive so I spoke to them at family planning clinic and I now have Implanton. Its a small peice injected into my arm and releases oestregen to prevent pregnancy. My cycle remains unaffected and I don't have to remember any pills or use anything else. It lasts for 3 years.
