Yeast Infection? Vaginal Infection? Help, seroius replies only. Thanks.?!

Question: i'm 16 years old, and sexually active. on christmas night i had sex with a condom. the day after xmas (thurs) i also had sex twice with a condom, and had oral performed on me. i noticed a slight raw feeling though and we stopped sexual activity. the next day (fri) i woke up feeling, itchy burning etc. i went to the gyno (first time) and they swabbed me an what not and sent it to the lab. after i came home, i went to the mall dispite the discomfort and went to the bathroom and noticed white, chunky discharge. when i got home i used a Qtip to get some of it out. i then used the gynozole the doctore gave me. this morning (saturday) pain itching burning discharge is unbearable and i think my groin lymph nodes are swollen. is this a yeast infection? what else could it be and anyone have this before? also, although we had sex with a condom there was some vaginal and penis contact when he didnt have a condom on, but no penatration. is he at risk for anything?

tell me if more details needed

Yeast infections usually do cause white, chunky or else yellow discharge, but I've never heard of anyone getting enlarged lymph nodes with that. Enlarged lymph nodes are definitely a sign of infection, but they're usually more associated with bacteria. Your symptoms do match those of a yeast infection, but the enlarged lymph nodes make me wonder. I would find out the results of your gynecologist's test. Unfortunately, your symptoms match some of those for gonorrhea and chlamydia, which is possible because of the contact when a condom was not being used. It's quite likely that you do have a yeast infection, but the lymph nodes being swollen makes me especially suspicious, and I would mention this to your doctor. You might need to be tested for these other diseases as well.

Sounds like a yeast infection. And no a guy cant catch it but he can re-infect you if he dosnt clean himself before you have sex again and your on medication to stop it.

Sounds like you have thrush, just get the treatment and you may find that the cream will work best for the burning. You can get this from your body being too sensitive to a certain brand or all condoms. You may also want to get your boyfriend treated just to make sure you don't pass it back and forth.

It sounds like you are allergic to latex. I am also allergic to latex and I remember when I found out. It was horribly painful, itchy, burney. Because of the allergic reaction you could have developed a yeast infection as well. For the next day or so use panty liners (unscented) and change them often. Also eat lots of plain yogurt. If you must have it sweetened put some honey, maple syrup or even just a little plain sugar and some fruit on top. The bacteria in yogurt are really good at getting your body back in balance. Instead of using the latex condoms try using Trojan Supra. They are made of polyurethane (kinda like plastic wrap) and they are much better feeling than latex! I know Durex makes them too but i can't remember the name of them. The Durex ones have too much lube on them tho.

?Kitty? is right, he can re-infect you. But ?Kitty? said that he cannot catch it, and that is WRONG. If he is re-infecting her, then he has caught it. He may not have any discharge, but his penis could become dry, itchy, and a rash could appear. He needs to be treated also, or you are risking re-infecting each other over and over again.
