Is it advised to exercise while having your period?!


Question: today during my exercise i started to feel dizzy and i had to stop and rest. before my period started exercising was a breeze but since my period started every time i exercise i feel weak, tired and like am going to faint. my mom says "it's a lack of iron in my blood" please help

You can still exercise, as it helps reduce cramping and usually helps combat fatigue. Maybe you need to reduce the level of activity since it is causing dizzy spells. Eat a balanced diet, drink plenty of water, and rest when you need to. Hopefully you are already taking a multi-vitamin with iron, but if you're not, you should look into that. Have the doctor check the iron levels in your blood to be sure you're not anemic.

yes you should exercise during your period because when you exercise your brain releases feel good hormones. however, if you feel too tired or like your gonna faint, try try lighter exercises, or dont do as much, and when you do feel faint, you shouldnt continue the exercise, its ok to take a break! good luck, hope i helped!
