What could be be causing pains in my breast??!

Question: Okay...I have been having pains in my breast around my nipple that are pretty painful. If I even reach across to grab something from the opposite side it hurts. I am not pregnant. I have a pain in my left armpit but no lumps or anything like that. Would could be causing this? My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer about a year ago but they have done the exam on me about ever three months where they feel for lumps. I have never had a mammogram though.. Is there another option that it could be... And before you say go talk to your doctor I have.. for the past two months they have been telling me it's from the depo provera shot I was on but stop using in August.

Even if you stopped using Depo in August, there could still be a little bit left in your system. Other than that....is there area red, swollen, or emitting any discharge? If so, maybe you have an infected milk duct? I had one once...it was awful. Fortunately, antibiotics take care of it.

It sounds like your doctor isn't helping much...have you tried seeing a specialist? If you know something is wrong, and they won't listen....demand their attention.

Hope you figure it out. Girl problems suck. :(

wow! you need to get a second opinion and see another doctor

Depo Provera will stay in your system for 13 weeks. If it's been longer than 13 weeks, I would consider going to another doctor.

im thinking your body hasn't gotten healed yet, you stopped taken the shots but maybe its still trying to fight to work its way of healing. get the mammogram..and do you do any sports? work out? move a lot of things, becuase you could have done something to damage it and pull a muscle or something.
