Caution...TMI.....brown spotting/bleeding and unsure why?!

Question: I had a D&C November 30th, so just a month ago. Since then, I've had what my GYN called a "normal period".

Since that normal period, I've had a different kind of "period"...one that includes lots and lots of ugly brown goo and clumps. It's constant...and it's almost comical because I think I have shed all the different color variations of brown! It's getting to the point where I'm thinking I may never stop putting out all this disgusting brown goo/whatever it is!

I have no cramping or pain and my husband and I haven't been back to having regular sex yet.

So...my question is: Should I call my doctor should this continue much longer? It's been about 5-7 days of straight "flow"..if it can be called that. It doesn't resemble blood nor even look like it in consistency. This is why I'm slightly thrown off by it.

Thanks for reading my TMI question!!

I know when you have a DNC you lose a lot of junk but you shouldn't be doing it a month later. I'd definitely ask your doctor about it.. maybe take a sample even though it may seem gross. I'd definitely recommend you call your doctor. Good luck!

I would definately call the doc. It just doesn't sound good!

It could just be the old blood making its way down and out..but you may want to check with your dr and have them do an ultrasound to make sure th d&c got out everything. sometimes a little bit is left behind but since its gooey its probably just old blood but better safe than sorry

This is your Cervix and Uterus healing. Probably all normal but I would at least call the office and ask the staff to let him know and to call you back for an appt if this concerns them.

Definitely call for a re-exam, but I'm curious to know if you have ever had endometriosis, because the brown "sludge" is very common for those with endometriosis. However, no cramping or pain with the telltale endometrium would be unusual. Call for a follow-up. It could be nothing except an annoyance, but better safe than sick.
