Question: I just started this month, and I have 21 pills then a week off, I took my last one on saturday, and today's monday, so will I get my period this month? And when? What day should it come on because I just want to vaguely know..

I take my last pill on a Sunday, and usually come on on Thursday morning... sooo I'd assume Wednesday? Maybe Tuesday night depending on what time you usually take your pills? I take mine at night, so rarely come on on Wednesday night.

Hope I helped without being too gross!

Edit: Forgot to mention, if you've just started taking the pill, you may have irregular bleeding, e.g a two week pseudo-period (not real blood, but not everyday 'stuff' either) or a really short period. It affects us all in different ways.

Its all according to how your body adjust to the pill alot of times your doc or the package will warn you that you may have irregular bleeding or spotting in between for the first few months...

There are many types of Contraceptive Pill available. But it sounds like the one you are taking is a progesterone Pill.

The Contraceptive Pill works by tricking your body into thinking that it is constantly in the Luteol Phase of your menstrual cycle. This means you do not ovulate every month and therefore should not be able to get pregnant. When you do not take the pills for that week, all that is happening is that your body is shedding the Luteum, or bloody membrane which has built up in your uterus.

So every month when you stop your pills for those seven days, you should have bleeding. Keep in mind that it can take several months for your body to adapt to this new method and so your menstrual cycle may be distrupted.
