a positive pregnancy test is over 99% certain you are pregnant. only factors which may give a false positive result are medications containing HcG (pregnyl or clomid etc.) or possibly ovarian cysts, or ectopic pregnancy (quite uncommon).
By the sounds of it you ARE pregnant, and have tender breasts due to the change of hormones in your body. This is completely normal, but for peace of mind, have the pregnancy confirmed by your GP and mention the breast pain (but personally, i'm sure you're fine).
CONGRATULATIONS! x x x

breasts tend to be more tender around menstration. if its an abnormally rated pain i would speak with your gynocologist

Your not really being too specific. I am guessing you mean you have missed your periods and are late six days and that you took a pregnancy test and that turned out positive and now you have pain in your breasts.

If this is so, its because the breasts feel tender when us girls get pregnant. It won't last long its just a natural occurance. Your body is preparing for motherhood, lots of hormonal changes...

If the pain persists and its pretty bad you can take panadol (even if your pregnant - not excessive) but if it doesn't help see your family doctor.

Breast pain (mastalgia) is the most common breast related complaint among women; nearly 70% of women experience breast pain at some point in their lives. Breast pain may occur in one or both breasts or in the underarm (axilla) region of the body. The severity of breast pain varies from woman to woman; approximately 15% of women require treatment. Though breast pain is not normally associated with breast cancer, women who experience any breast abnormalities, including breast pain, should consult their physicians.

ohhhh... YOU'RE PREGNANT!!!! =D
...and so is everyone else.

-----------congratulations------------...

You are pregnant? Tenderness in the breast is typical in very early pregnancy, although you should still visit your OB to make sure that there are no other problems at work.

Congrats!

Because the test was positive it could be a symptom of pregnancy but the only way to know for sure what is going on is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.

Stop eating dairy products!! hormones are being injected into cows to produce more milk. it has very serious effect on women breast. http://www.notmilk.com

dont worry dear its normal just hermons its better if you visit doctor!!

Is there any lump in your breast? Where the pain is? In the nipple or at other place. To be on the safer side, please consult your gynac. It has nothing to do with your pregnancy.

if pain subsidise in two -four days it is ok. otherwise medical attention is required. happy new year & best wishes for getting ready for god's new beautifull AVATAR.

Hi there,
this sort of cases, cannot be diagnosed over the history alone. So many factors like age, no of earlier deliveries, children etc etc are necessary.
Sincerely I would suggest you to contact your gynaecologist, as that will give a more concrete idea and diagnosis.

best wishes...

Some tenderness in the breast is normal, but if it's really bad, and a lot of pain like you said, you should go see a doctor about it as soon as possible.
