Shaving question, GIRLS ONLY?!

Question: how do you shave down there?? i have only managed to trim the front...this is really embarassing but i have no idea how, or where you shave for that matter.

is it going over board is you shave everything down there? or do guys like a bit of hair??

Hot shower. Bar of soap. Lather up. Razor (a nice fresh blade). Go SLOWLY.

First time? Don't shave it all at once. Your skin will probably get irritated, and you might not much care for that. Use an unscented moisturizer afterwards if your skin does end up irritated. Better still, use a lotion/gel which has a high aloe content (again, no perfumes or scents).

Just shave back the outer perimeter (eg, just from the top only) a quarter inch or a half inch the first time, and leave it at that.

Let it go for a week (don't shave daily at first, as you could really irritate the skin) just to see how well you fare. If it's all good, shave again, but shave back another 1/4 to 1/2 an inch further than you did the first time.

Wait another week and see. If things are good, shave a little further. Wait, check, shave more. Etc.

Once you get to an amount that you're comfy with, stick with that.

It's not going overboard to shave it all, although there will be people who will tell you it's gross. Strictly personal preference.

If you decide to get waxed down there, getting it all removed is called a Brazilian. Everything from stem to stern.

As for what guys prefer? That varies widely. Some prefer it all shaved, some prefer it completely bushy/natural, some prefer it trimmed back and maybe shaved into a shape like a "landing strip" or a small triangle, etc.

It really boils down to what you prefer. Like someone else pointed out, both my wife and I find the extra hair to be a bit gross. It's really nice not having short and curlies in underwear, scattered around the bathroom, etc.

There's shaving, there's waxing, and for the permanently minded, there's laser hair removal. I wouldn't recommend anything permanent for you at this point; at least with shaving, if you decide you don't like how it looks or feels, you can always let it grow back.

i dont know i tried a couple times but it didnt really work

I shave mine all off, definately. I'm 20 and I've shaved it since I was 14. It's a personal choice though, some people do and some don't. I personally do it just because I can't stand having hair down there, it grosses me out. But many women don't and there's nothing wrong with that. Just do it once, see if you like it and if you don't it'll grow back...it's just hair. My fiance shaved his stuff for the first time a few months ago and he was like "I can't believe I didn't do this sooner..it feels so much better.
Also if you are worried about the smell down there....hair traps in smell, so you'll smell cleaner when you shower if you shave.
On the down side though...hair also works as a bacteria blocker, so you made be more prone to yeast infections or UTI's, but I've never had a problem with it. Also, razor burn...make sure to use LOTS of water and shaving cream...and maybe some lotion afterwards.
Hope I helped.

A RAZOR!!!!!! and mock3 is my fav. oh and soap or shave cream.
Ive shaved for 13 years.

i just shave around the edges so it wont hang out of ur underwear and my bf really doesnt care hair or not and i think it would feel really odd about shaving it ALL of...i mean alittle bit of shaving and trimming is fine but not the whole thing...maybe u should get it waxed!
ps it really shouldnt matter what a boy thinks because they should like u the way u r!

If you have a partner, seriously, ask them to shave it for you (as long as you trust them).
If you can't see to shave, get a mirror to help. As for how much to shave, that's up to you (and your partner).
Some guys like a "landing strip", others a triangle, while others prefer simply skin. What do You prefer? You are the one that has to "wear" it, and take care of it.

Blessings.

if i was you i would shave it all.

lol i wouldnt g as far as the butt ( yea i know that, that sounds grose.)
i shave pretty much everything and that is how my boyfriend likes it.

for a tip when you shave and it starts to grow back, shave downwards. it will help you not get razor burnn.
lol i know all this sounds grose, but good luck girl : D

just shave it the same way you did the front, prop your leg up.. and shave...

and i think guys do like it.. hairy-ness(LOL) isnt all that good looking

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS Shave going downwards!!! I made the mistake of going up when I first did and OUCH!! It burned and I got bumps! Use cream and and a non-motorized razor. and put lotion on after :) I also personally shave it all it seems more clean and my husband likes it that way ;)

I think it's 1 in every 5 who shave it all. First of all, exfoliate. Get your loofah and scrub really good. Then get some shaving gel and lather it all up. For the top, just go bottom to top...just like your legs. Just make sure you use a really sharp razor or else it'll turn out badly. For the lower part, go front to back. Stretch out really well and you shouldn't get cut. Just try it and get your own experience and personal preference.

And for the record...I've not met many guys who like even a bit of hair.

Use a lot of shaving cream and shave downward. I only shave all of it when I'm going out but I normally just shave the front. It's hard to shave inside so be really, really careful.

I have been shaving my gf for 2 years now. We use electric trimmer and shaver (Seiko Shavi Femini and Seiko Cleancut) for real smoothness without ingrown hairs and very litttle razor burn. There is a difference between shaving with a blade versus electric. With the electric razor and trimmer a person can be as smooth as after waxing with never a regrowth period and without all the pain.

We both have learned to shave ourselves by feel. A mirror can help.

I like the completely smooth and sensual effect. I didn't mind hair. I really like smooth and dislike stubble.
