Women answers only please! It's a very personal question.?!

Question: I have problem with my vagina. The inner labia lips protrude slightly, about an inch when not stretched. Also the color is dark and ugly. I'm thinking of getting labiaplasty. Not just for the look but for the COMFORT, because when I wear thongs or any sort of panties I get front wedgies, and when I wear any type of clothing I feel like the material is always rubbing my inner labia, and create irritation. It irritates my vagina alot and it feels very uncomfortable. Even when I don't wear clothes or loose clothes, it rubs into each other. The question is: Should I get surgery for this? There are alot of risks. Or should I just live with it? Believe me, it IRRITATES like a BlTCH. Unwanted friction lol. (not with my clit but with my lips, so theres no pleasure in that.)

Also I just want to say my sex life is great. my boyfriend doesn't care of its appearance and loves it. I don't really care of the appearance either I just hate living with this little problem.

Honestly, the only person that can answer your questions is your ob-gyn. Talk to your doc for the advice you need. But assuming that you see your ob for annuals and birth control, then chances are she isn't concerned with your labia or she would have already recommended something or talked to you about it. But like I said, call your doc for piece of mind! Good Luck for whatever happens though!

There's actually surgery for your labia called labiaplasty?

You have to be kidding me!

If you are doing it for the comfort factor, I would say go for it. I have heard of plenty of women getting that surgery to "fix" the aggravation. :)

Well while i feel bad for you....if it bothers you that much i would start wearing grannie panties so that you can keep those bad boys tied up...per say....but this will help with the rubbing because theres more than a string of fabric holding them in place.

First of all I would consult with a gynecologist and then a plastic surgeon if the gyne doesn't give you an adequate answer. Next I wouldn't wear thongs...well, actually I would NEVER wear thongs. I never liked sanitary belts (does that tell you how OLD I am???) Thank goodness pads are made with adhesive strips on them.

There may be a problem with the amount of natural lubrication you are or are not producing. A doctor could prescribe some medication for you to reduce that irritation.

Discuss this with your doctor or gynecologist. Who knows, they may have a simple solution to this problem. If not, they will give you more detailed options and solutions to choose from based on your condition.

Get the surgery if it will make you happy!

I wouldn't be able to put up with that either!!

ahhhh
i have this same exact problem!
i'm to young to have surgery, but i absolutely hate the discomfort.
As soon as I am old enough I will deffienetely get something done about it.
I am nervous about letting my boyfriend see it, because he may think it is gross.
idkk but I hate it.
I would say go for the surgery.
Good luck and I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.
ughhh
I absolutely hate it.
people are always like labias come in all defferent sizes, but im like, NO. Its huge and discusting. And you have no idea unless you have one.
ughhh

get better.

I heard that the surgery can actually cause more irritation from scar tissue. It is a rather new procedure so they don't really know all of the long term effects yet. The best thing for you to do is talk to your gyno and surgeon. If it is really that uncomfortable you definitely need to do something. The constant friction and dryness may be causing more and more damage everyday. The color is probably from having more skin bunched together and from damage from dryness and friction. So many women deal with this.

I would say leave it. Oral is more fun when a girl has some lips

You should discuss with your doctors. Any surgery can lead to complications.
You are young, perhaps hold out for a couple more years.
