Pain with IUD after sex?!

Question: Okay, so a personal question here- I noticed many changes after getting the MIRENA IUD. One of them though has made me quite uncomfortable in the bed. It seems everytime I have the big O, It cramps inside. Just one big Cramp with the o, but then I start spotting afterwards and the spotting thing along with the cramp is getting on my nerves. So, Does anyone else have this problem? If so, what can I do?

The IUD could be irritating the uterus during vaginal contractions from your "o". You have to remember this is a foreign object in your body. Some people never get comfortable with them. Also, some people have stronger contractions with sex.

I had that with a copper UID, although about half of my friends that have used UIDs (that I know of!) have had absolutely no trouble at all. The other half have had spotting, pain, cramps as you described. I don't think a UID is for everyone, although apparently you should leave them at least 6 months to see if they settle down.
