Does antibiotics slow down you menstruation?!
Question: I have had my period for about two weeks almost. The doctor put me on Azrithomycin 250 mg. I have sinius infection. Is it that my body is trying to heal form the infection which in result takes longer for my body to adjsut? Should I be concerend? I normally don't have a period for that long. I don't want to be too personal but are their any side effect that I should be concerend with such as liver etc? I don't have any other medical problmes that would effect or interact with other drugs. If you have some advice please answer. I am going to the doctors in a few days, but I was wondering if anyone else has ran into this problem? Thanks in advance.

Antibiotics can mess up your cycle - they are known for that. Also if you are sexually active they can mess with your BC, so you should use other protection. It sucks, but you are probably fine. Definitely bring it up when you see your doctor though.
almost all antibiotics they use today have side-effects, a lot havent been on the market long enough to be sure exactly what are the sede-effects are, but they use the idea that if its helping the problem u have then who cares what its doing wrong to you, a quick fix is what you need.
we dont have healthcare nowadays, its sickcare.
if it was me i'd to get off the drugs a.s.a.p.
speaking from experience as lots of people i know have problems from taking meds years ago, and problems are showing up in numbers now.
especially animal antibiotics, these are well dodgy, make sure u dont give ur pets any antibiotics unless its life or death. my friends dog was put on a test antibiotic and it died from it!
