Should I be worried?!

Question: I will try to explain as briefly as possible..Was diagnosed with PCOS at 18 .Then had 3 natural pregnancys. After my last child was born(2000) I was sent for a ultrasound scan and all was normal. So for last 7 years have had a fairly normal 30 to 35 day cycle. In July 2007 my periods became very heavy (clotting etc) and lasted up to 12 days. Over the past year I have also had spotting after sex(was given clear smear 12 mths ago)Then no period Nov ..just spotting and off throughout Dec. Found a lump on cervix on 20th dec.Started heavy period on 30th.
Visited doc 2 times about periods and she was very dismisive.
Doc hasnt even given me an exam and seems reluctant to do anything exept a blood test blaming PCOS?.Awaiting those results next week. I am 34 now. Should I insist on seeing a gyni?
Also I am not pregnant (husband vasectomy)

Go back to the doctor, and if he/she won't take you seriously, you can request a second opinion. Good luck!

yeah i think you should see a gyni
you can never be too sure,
and when you see gyni you'll be sure.

I would say go to the doctor.

Could be as harmless as a polyp or as dangerous as cancer.

Go straight to a gyneacologist.

see a gyni the bump could be herpies

if you are not getting the answers that you seek, you should see a ne wdoctor. or get another opinoin.

i have pcos and i can only sympothise hun... at this mo my legs are playin up an my bp is high as hell but thats this month... next month wil be a different problem or sympton etc etc im fed up with my hormones playin up and when i had my appendix out they found (and removed, thankfully) a large cyst on my ovaries that coulda caused problems so id get any lumps checked out in an a&e if u need instant reassurance or any treatments before it does u any real damage... hope this helps and i hope everythin turns out ok ^fingers crossed^ x
