How can I be sure when Im fertile?!

Question: Ok its complicated. I'm on the pill and I got my period on 13th dec last. But i need to know now...if i stop my pill( i finish on saturday 5th jan) i will get my periods within 5 days of stopping. what happens in those 5 days? whats the stage called? and once i get my period, lets say 10th jan( i have a 4-5 day cycle), from there onwards, how do i know when im ovulating? Also i've been on the pill since 2 years, but had stopped taking them over the last few months, started in december after my last cycle, and now im going to complete this pack. with all this information can someone tell me when i will be most fertile, and also can you get pregnant if you have sex during your periods(unprotected i.e). Thanks

hmm... if you're on the pill, then your fertility is probably pretty messed up meaning that it wouldn't be very easy at all to pinpoint exactly when you're fertile. If you really want to know when you are fertile then you need a basal thermometer and take measurements every morning and make observations like what the mucus is like. Usually when your body produces more cervical fluid (see the link below).

No you can't get pregnant during your period if it really is your period. And I know from experience... years of it.
Then again if you're messing up your body's hormonal balance with pills then you never know when you'll be ovulating... give your body a break.
