Tips about shaving pubic hair...?!

Question: Please do not rant to me about how pubic hair is there for a reason, and I shouldn't be shaving. It's my body, and my decision; I don't do it for anyone else, jsut for myself. thanks.

So I've been shaving for years, and a friend of mine has asked me for some tips, because she's always gotten really bad results... bumpy, etc. but really hates her hair. She got a wax once, but didn't like how much she had to pay, and was really awkward with going to have it done, lol

I told her to take a warm bath first to soften the hair, use a new razor and "bikini zone" shave gel, shave in the direction of hair growth, and don't go over any areas too much. Apparently she still gets bumps? I've never really had an issue, so I don't know what else to tell her.

Anyone have any other tips, or another product better than "bikini zone" brand?

Sally Hansen makes a cream that contains an antibiotic, hydrocortisone, and an analgesic. Its called zero irritation. Here's a link to see what I'm talking about. http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.j...

I do like the bikini zone shave gel, and new razors that are just used for bikini area are a couple things I do/use.

cool ....giggity....

rub the area with an ice cube immediately afterwards, it closes up the pores, tightens up the skin so oil can't get down in, and really helps, and it's sorta fun to play around with the ice cube while it's down there lol!

I've used this at home wax kit.. i think its just called Brazilian wax. its the hard wax, it gave good results although a bit messy, but for 10 bucks a jar which gave me about 3 waxes it was well worth it.

recently tho i got an epillator. I like it wayyy better than waxing not only is it alot cleaner but faster and you can take it out whenever you need to. It did hurt a bit at first but ive gotten used to it now, not worse than a wax for sure.

Use "Coochie" its like bikini zone but works better at least for me that is. I try to wait like a week between shaving times if I can, I dunno why but it helps. And I always shave last either in the bath or shower just the last thing I do before i get out.

Yes, try a cream and after-spray from Slumber Parties. They are the 'adults only' parties for women...but their cream is great. It's called "coochy". Funny name, I know, but it's the best I've tried. The cream is like a lotion, doesn't foam or lather, but leaves the skin smooth and soft (no bumps for me) and the after-spray soothes the skin and forms a light barrier between the skin and your clothes so there's no irritation. Good luck!

I also prefer to be shaved. I tend to have problems with bumps and was advised to try an antiseptic approach (kind of like after shave). The bumps are caused by bacteria.

Also, rinsing shaving cream off with cold water helps seal the skin to prevent bacteria from getting in.

They make creams to help treat razor bumps as well. Just do a search for razor bump treatment and you should be able to find quite a few products.

I say use "Nair" - it works well, you just have to watch the time limit. You wont have to deal with unsightly hairs and you can easily control what you remove and keep.
Note to user, make sure that you dont wipe it into you girl parts, can be really painful and cause some serious burns.
Also, if you dont want to smell like "Nair" use a nice bodywash afterwards, and defintely an anti-bacterial soap.

use an ellectric shaver

and use a moisterizing shower gel

tell her to cut it really short b4 shaving so she is gonna have to let it grow out a little, and then put shaving cream on and then shave, but shave in all directions because pubic hair grows in all different direction. i think the bumps r from razor burn or ingrown/infected hairs, nothing to worry about, just something we have to deal w/ but my ex told me to put deodorant, where the hair was (not on the vagina) but idk if that will help but that is what he said, supposively it will keep it smooth like ur armpits. Or maybe u could try baby lotion to keep it smooth down thereI hope this helps you!! :D good luck!

I use an electric razor. It doesn't itch at all. I have been doing this for 3 years. Whe I first tried it at 18, it itched a lot, but that was with a razor and then I didn't do it for a long time afterwards.
It's best to trim the pubes with a pair of nail siscors first and then mow the lawn!
Enjoy

yea dont
