My gynecologist hates miconazole or any other otc yeast cream. She says many women experience quite a bit of external pain from those drugs.

She recommends Crisco for irritation, a small amt of hydrocortisone cream for inflammation, and fluconazole (Diflucan) a 1 day pill that is really cheap if you get the generic.

Be sure to get checked out just in case you have something else. But if you took some antibiotics for something it could just be yeast.

Switch to cotton panties, No thongs, and plain unscented Dove soap.

If you don't have insurance go to planned parenthood or another free clinic.

Good luck.

Are you sure it's a yeast infection? Many women misdiagnose themselves (and therefore treat the problem wrong). If it's not gone by tomorrow, 3rd day of otc treatment, you should call your doctor because it's probably something else going on.

it is possiable you may not have a typical yeast infection
I would call my doctor and try to get in to see tommorrow.
unless of course all your symptoms were gone by then
and if you have any foul odor or other symptoms
you could go to urgent care today
good luck

That cream is supposed to feel soothing, not burning. You should see a doctor for a full diagnosis--you might have a urinary tract infection in addition to the yeast infection.
