Question for ladies?!

Question: Lately, I have been under alot of stress. It is kind of personall, but I have missed my period four times in a row. I have started again a month ago, but I missed it again. People tell me that my period hasn't gotten into a normal track yet. I have been having them for two years, they always came once a month, always normal. I think it is because of stress, but missing four months is kind of scary. Is there anything else that could stop it ( im not pregnant) for that long? Should I be worried?

There are several factors that can come into play when discussing regular and irregular menstrual cycles and a doctor can review your medical history and conduct a medical evaluation to see if this is normal or not.

Irregular periods are expected for the first year following the onset of menstruation (known as your first period). Periods that continue to be irregular usually do not affect your general health, but it is definitely a good idea to discuss it with your doctor. Variations in your cycle may result from stress, travel, or intense exercise. Also, irregular periods may result from a significant weight change. Regardless of the cause of your irregular periods, you should speak with your doctor about it.

I wouldn't be worried about a physical thing being wrong, and stress can definitely make your periods irregular.
I'd discuss this with your Gyno and see if maybe your hormones have gone wonky.
It's time for an exam and some bloodwork.
Good luck.

i missed my period for 4 months once...turned out i had cervical cancer.

It can be stress or low body weight or even a cyst or tumor. Chances are it's stress, low body weight or a hormonal issue. Talk to a doctor, they will do some simple tests. good luck.

if you think it is stress, that is most likely the case. You should still see a doctor just to make sure everything is alright. My friend went 5 months without a period and she is fine... just try to relax a little. :D

Well it's good that you are concerned about your health. At the same time I am not a doctor but I know from experience that you might want to get checked out. This will put your mind at ease and get the help that you need. I don't know how old you are or how young you are, but I would definitely get checked out.

See your Doctor or a Gynecologist, this is not the place to look for a diagnosis. There could be many reasons and not serious ones. A professional will give you a diagnosis and treat it. Your worry will be relieved, and on the way of getting well.

yes its possible it happinded too me for a whole month my friend 2 months and my other friend a whole year stress will do it see a doc just in case . .

ps my friend had it for yearss than it went away for a year and came back

You need to try to relax, and not be so stressed. You might want to see your doctor, but I think you are ok.
