I have a yeast infection i dont no what to do?!
Question: i said to my mum it burnt when i went toilet so we thought i had cyctytus so i took all the medicane for that but ive just woken up at 6 in the morning from loads of burning and ithcing and when i go toilet its even worse and its been there for nearly 2 weeks ..ive resarched the internet and ive found out i have a yeast infection should i contact a doctor ? should i try medicanes over the counter first ? what should i do . i want to get this over fast because i cant sleep with it

Drink lots of cranberry juice to neutralise the acidity; and drink lots of water to wash yourself out. This is good for bladder infections, which cause burning. Untreated, they can lead to painful kidney infections. You may need antibiotics, especially after two weeks!
If you have thrush (a fungal yeast infection which causes itching, and sometimes white discharge):
Avoid sugar and yeast products (including bread, and Vegemite if you're in Australia!), as these feed the infection.
Some say plain natural yoghurt (no flavored ones as they contain sugar) on a tampon will help. Change regularly as you normally would.
Don't share bathwater or towels.
You can buy antifungal liquid to put in the washing machine when you do the laundry, to kill the yeast on your underwear.
Most important (and probably most effective) are the treatments you can purchase from the chemist/pharmacy. If you ask for a cream for a yeast infection they will often ask "With applicators?" - this is the discrete way of asking if you need to apply the cream internally, and you should say yes. They may also offer you an oral treatment (tablet).
A popular brand for both antifungal washing liquid and cream, is Canesten.
