Condoms are about 85 % effective. With careful use, they are even more effective. Male condoms are only effective when placed just before intercourse or oral sex.
When started within 6 days of the start of a period or within 6 days after an abortion, The Pill is effective immediately. If the Pill is started at other times, it will be effective after one month. To lower the risk of pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, condoms can be used while taking The Pill.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++...

As long as you have your pill same time everyday and aware antibiotics stomach upsets cause it not to work it is as secure as you can be plus condoms protect against stds and I think you are being very carfeful. If it is good for you then that is the main thing!

i think you are def safe and free from std's and pregnancy, yes they do go well together.

sounds very responsible to me
with both the pill and condoms i wouldn't worry about getting pregnant

My girlfriend has used just the pill for the past 2-3 years and we have no problems. We don't even use condoms. Pills are like 98% effective.

Go ahead. Pick a number 1-98.

Did you pick 48?

Yeah, that's why the pills are pretty effective.

Continue using both. Make sure you are taking your pill at the same time everyday. Be extra careful when you introduce new medications...your pharmacist should tell you if they will interfere with your birth control pills.

The pill is an excellent method of contraception on its own, properly used it has a fail rate of only 0.2%. It does not however affect the risk of STDs. using a condom as well does reduce he risk of infection.

It's a great mixture. The pill is a very effective contraceptive but it doesn't protect you from sexually transmitted diseases. Condoms will protect you from these. A belt and braces approach like yours is a very sensible one.
