Your menstural cycle stops under water, so you could go successfully unprotected. One thing you should keep in mind though is that your vagina is more prone to bacterial infection during your period, so it's really your choice.
The truth is: I've done it before, and never had a problem. Good luck =]

than just wait
your period only lasts for 5-7 days or less
depends on ur age
if you don't wanna wear a tampon, then don't swim. you have plenty of time to go swimming

If you dont wanna wear a tampon then you cant really go swimming. You'll have to wait until your period is finished unless you wanna bleed in the pool? :( Tampons aren't that bad...I was afraid to use them the first time but now i cant go back to pads.

sooner or later you have to get over your fear of tampons! if you put it in far enough and on the right angle then you wont even be able to feel it. you can bleed while under water but i guess that wont help since you wouldnt be able to get in or out of the pool lol. id say tampon or no swimming! sorry.

I wear tampons, but my friends wear pads...but i think there are water proof pads out there, and my friend who wears pads goes to the bathroom, before she goes in the pool cause she believes that you dont drip/spot (whatever you call it) when your in water...you do but not as much as if you were not in the water

Well... I know you Don't/Can't wear one.. but try a pad if you are DESPRATE and can't wait...But If you Have a Large flow.. i would suggest not swimming. if its just tiny... dont owrry about it! its just like a little child peeing in the pool. you dont notice! :D just swim aound a bit... and nobody will notice but you! =D

why can't you wear a tampon? My advice if you are on your period and you are wanting to go swimming, don't go on your heaviest day. I only go swimming on my regular-light days. Also, as soon as I get done swimming I go and change it because it tends to also soak up the pool water so then it's easy for you to leak. But it's not as bad as you think they actually work pretty well!

Bleeding does NOT stop when you are in the water, for more than 15 minutes or so.

Please do not bleed into any pool where other people are swimming. That's disgusting, and unsanitary.

If you want to wear a tampon then you can swim. Otherwise, you're out of luck.

USE A TAMPON. it's not that bad really.

or else you can't swim...

If you don't want to wear a tampon, you can't goes to the pool. Because, bleeding will not stop, if you're in the water.. You'll need to wait after your period over. Try to learn put the tampon insert your body. Just follow the instructions on the package. That best way for you to start put the tampon insert. If I were you get Tampex Pearl Junior size tampons for beginning. You will need to wear a tampon when you goes to the pool. Many girls wearing a tampon while in the pool.

Tampon or moon/diva cup or NO SWIMMING.

Your period will NOT stop nor will it slow down in water. It only LOOKS like it does, when in reality it is dispersed too quickly into the water so it LOOKS like it slows or stops.

You WILL bleed into the pool and contaminate the water.

Just try to wear a tampon...it isn't that bad. If your flow is light, then you can get in the pool. The cold water helps to slow down your flow, especially if you are light. You will be fine, don't worry about it.
