Some thoughts and suggestions:

1. Contact a school of nursing that is near you and ask for an information packet. This will tell you what courses are required.
2. RN schools are regulated by the Board of Nursing for the state they're in http://www.nursingboard.state.nv.us/. The school submits the curriculum to the Board of Nursing, which must approve it. The Board of Regents http://system.nevada.edu/Board-of-R/inde... also determines what courses are required to obtain a degree.
3. Some RN pre- or co-requisites are the same for all states. For instance, English, government, history, sociology, and psychology are usually required. Anatomy & Physiology is usually required also, and some states require chemistry.
4. Your girlfriend will need to submit a transcript and course descriptions (such as syllabi or a course catalog) to the nursing school, who will decide what can be transferred.

If your girlfriend has not actually started the nursing courses themselves, the transfer process may be relatively easy. A counselor from the nursing school in your area can advise her.

I am a teaching assistant. I have worked in RN, EMT, MLT, LPN, CNA/CNA/HHA programs for over 20 years. One of my duties at the RN program was to counsel and advise applicants.
