water stops it. if your in water, you wont bleed. dont worry.

dont listen to those telling you to wear a tampon in the pool. been there. done that. doesnt end up doing anything except making you uncomfortable. all my friends agree and we are all swimmers on high class teams.

trust me, im a swimmer. the worse thing is the cramps though. you will NOT wanna swim on your period (oooowww), but ive had to do races and meets with it all the time. just take some pain killers (motrin, advil, tylenol) or period pills like midol and you'll be fine.

Water DOES NOT STOP A PERIOD. IT only LOOKS that way, when it actually just gets dispersed into the water. Wear a tampon or moon/diva cup. Do not contaminate the water by going into the pool without a tampon or cup!

And a tampon PROPERLY inserted will not be uncomfortable. Report It

I never heard that before. Being in water doesn't stop bleeding in the bathtub (I've tried that) so I don't see why it would work in the pool. Report It

  • Trust me it wont get in the pool. The water actually stops it.

    tampons

as long as you dont get it in the ocean....dont wanna be attacked by sharks!!

if u kno that its coming or if u are having it wear tampons but if ur in the pool and u are worried about getting it DONT it wont show up in the water.. but after u get out it will so make sure u caarry pads or tampons with u...

if you want, buy a DivaCup (divacup.com) then around the time that you're supposed to get your period, you can just go ahead and put it in just in case. even though the water actually stops it, just if you want to be safe wear the divacup.

good luck and welcome to womanhood.. [:

if your in water you wont bleed, and i dont know why but i know it does
