Question: Okay everyone says I will be getting my period soon since I have a lot of discharge.
I have had discharge on and off for about a year.
If they say I will be getting my period very soon, how come I havent gotten it since I have had dischrage for about 1 year?
also are docters right when they tell you when ur gonna get ur period? I wanna know when I am gonna get it, how can they tell?

doctors are just extimating.
if you've had discharge for about a year then it will come soon. just be ready and don't ruin your fav. pair of undies.
Nobody can tell you when you are going to get your period. There is no magic way of knowing. It just happens when it happens. The discharge is normal.
this can happen anywhere from months to 1 year and 6 months..
when ur boobs start getting sore when u touch them thatsa when its coming really soon
There is no way to know exactly when, but it has something to do with when your mom started hers, and when your breasts started developing, and yea, discharge, but it's different for everyone. Just be prepared and it will come.
You can't really tell, allthough the signs look good for you. I had discharge for about 4 years before i ever got my period!! Girls are often quite similar to their mothers in-terms of when they start their period..... when did you mother start hers will be a good indicator for you i reckon.
You cannot tell at all when you are going to get oyur period, i got mine at 15 when i was sleeping, bit of a shock but i got over it. Im now 23 and also get discharge. Discharge has nothing to do with when your period will arrive, it's a normal process. Its just 'your bits' cleaning itself, at least you know it's clean. I always think i get way too much, but ive asked the doctors and they say it's perfectly fine.
P.s Just don't worry, it will come when it wants too!
I don't know how anyone can predict the onset of a period. I've heart this kind of thing you are talking about repeatedly. The only purpose the discharge has is to clean you out. Watch for unusual discharge, like if it smells bad, or looks like cottage cheese, unusual discharge usually indicates something minor needs care. If you've never heard it before let me be the first to tell you. Do not use douches. They aren't good for you and that is the job of the discharge.

My grandma never had a period so maybe you will not have one but when you do mark the day you came on and the day you came off so you can know around the time you will have it again and you won't plan anytime like going swimming around this time unless you are comfortable with tampons. good luck!
I used to want my period just to get it over with. But you'll fine relax. Periods SUCK!! you stain clothes but i usally can get them out with cold water. Plus i feel like crap. cramps and etc. vbloated and hungery ugh,
