Few Questions stomach flu?!

Question: I just just finished having a Stomach Flu / Fever a few days ago, it was the first time I had thrown up in 8 years, and it was traumatic for me.......anyway my Boyfriend got it from his cousin, then I got it from him....one day after the throwing up I still felt sore and extremely weak, now I have really bad gas and I still feel a bit nauseous...how long does it take for the after affects of a stomach flu to go away? should I eat something particular?
I feel fine to eat, but I just want that Nauseous feeling to leave......Thanks :)

The stomach flu is not fun. It will probably take you a few days to get back to feeling completely well again. If you still have a fever, you might be sore and weak from that. As I'm sure you well know, throwing up is really hard on the body because it causes so many of your major muscle groups to tense up...that's probably why you're sore. The weakness is most likely due to dehydration...be sure you're drinking plenty of liquids. The gas and nausea will take a few days to go away. As for eating, try to only eat things that your body can easily digest, like crackers, plain toast, etc. Hope this helps and feel better soon!

The after problems from a stomach flu is normal. It will probably take a few days to get completely better. But when i had the flu i would drink hot tea, mostly mint tea or peppermint tea for the upset stomach. I would also eat saltine crackers too with chicken soup. It will soon go away and you will be fine. Also the stomach pains in probably from you throwing up so much and the muscles in your stomach tighten when you vomit and they can hurt after words and you could also pull a muscle from vomiting to much too. Just take a warm bath and relax. The pain and everything will go away soon. I am sorry your not feeling good and i hope you get better soon!!
