For women's eyes only!?!

Question: Every time you start your period, do you feel like you go through an identity crisis? It's like everything falls apart, and I go practically ballistic. How the hell can I get this to stop? I do control it pretty well around other people, but my hormones just drive me crazy.

Join the club! We need to organise better the activities that are done at that time, I get so scatty that I don't know where to turn, a creative project would do the trick.

Must remember to hassle Penfold out of my work area, (The House) the little bastar keeps trashing it.

damn get on bc

Yeah, right, like I'm not going to click on that loaded question. Since I'm here I might as well sheepishly duck out again. Sorry for the intrusion.

i don't have that problem but talk to your doctor because there are things that can help you handle your cycle better and control your hormones so that you don't get that affect when the levels crash near your period.

birth control would be effective in preventing that.

I know what you mean! I get so crabby, and I can feel it, and I almost can't help it! I have irregular periods, and my doctor told me to basically, stop smoking, try to eat right, exercise and learn relaxing techniques. I almost asked him what planet he was from...but it does help. Try vitamins too was another tip I got.

same here. just hormone changes.

Eat healthy foods excercise and chocolate

It's just hormones. You can't really control it but you could try to take some natural herb like St.John's Wort which is a natural mood enhancer so it will make you a little bit more stable. Also eating chocolate or drinking it helps a lot, women and chocolate just go together.

Hey girl. It may sound strange but I was or am taking pre-natal pills (from Wal-mart) so my hair will grow. And i have not been having those mood swing i was having before. I still have my cramps from HELL. But I do not have the mood swings and the crying and all of the emotions. And my hair is growing!

It has to do with a negative energy field that becomes active during that time in a woman's life due to years of suffering under patriarchal rule and that also creates these physical problems.

Sometimes bc helps, but for me all it did was make me more moody and gain 10 pounds...Then I had one more thing to freak out about, at that time of the month. For me solitary confinement, and raspberry leaf tea, works best.
