Average age to get Period?!
Question: What is the average age? Most of my friends have it and I don't yet... some of my friends even got it in Grade 5. I'm 12 going on 13 in a few months. I don't want my period, but just wondering when I'll get it.

Got it in grade 5 also. If you're at the age where you wear a bra because you need to, it's probably only a matter of months, most likely under a year. Savor every moment. You'll miss the freedom lol.
I didn't get my period until I was 14. Depends on a lot of stuff... some of my friends had gotten their periods when they were 10... so it just depends on your body.
my daughter got it at 11, its usually 1 year after your breasts start growing fast.
I was 10 as was my mother...my sister was 16. It depends on you, I don't think there's an average age.
Everybody's different but most girls get it between the ages of 10 and 15.
you should be getting real soon you usually don't have any signs the first time it just happens but if you don't get it by 16 then go to a doctor I'm 16 I got mine when I was 11.
Everyone gets it at different times, but since u ask, probably about 13-14, if you havent got it by the time you're 17, u have to go to the doctor, but dont worry, i got mine when I was 11, so u know, 12 is still going on young.
I didn't get mine until 14-15. And I was LUCKY. haha you don't want it, it's a pain in the butt.

It depends on you and how you are growing... I got mine at 13, but I have freinds who didn't get theirs till they were 16
There is nothing to be worried about the averige age is between 9 - 15 you got loads of time.
average age to start a period can be any age between about 10 and 17 so its quite likely that ull start soon or within the next couple of years
im guessing grade 5 is age 10 to 11? (if so thats year 6 in the UK)
it all depends on YOUR body. some girls can be as young as 9 or as old as 18 when they first start.
ask your mum when she first got hers. chances are you will start the same age she did.

me too! im 12 and ill be 13 in june. i dont have my period either. im in 7th grade, and my friends all got their's in 5th or 6th grade. but don't worry. its better not to get your period so early. they all say its a pain. but im sure you'll get it someday. you shouldn't worry about it until your about 15 or 16. have fun while you can. you don't have to worry about leaks and cramps! lol. in a way, im happy i dont have mine yet. hope this was helpful.
