Ok, I haven't had the LEEP done, but I've had very similar things done recently. Go to yahoo and search LEEP. That's how I found out the most about the procedures I was having done. From what I know, they don't remove that much, just the abnormal tissue. You can't have sex for a couple of weeks after. You can still get pregnant when everything heals. (My sis-in -law did.) Men aren't going to notice anything different. When having sex, they only even hit the cervix if they are really long or thrust hard. Like IO said, research the procedure before you get it done, that way you know what to exect and everything. It helped for me. Good Luck.

my mom has to get the leep thing done :S

If you are going to have this, and have all these questions about it, I hope you find a doctor that will answer all of them before your surgery. If they have not, Find a doctor that will answer ALL your questions before you have this done.

You don't sound dumb. You sound like a person that is not having good communication with your Doctor. All of these questions are important to you and your Doctor should provide the answers. Good luck.
