Can having (protected) sex on the last day of your period cause pregnancy?!

Question: My partner and I had sex on the last day of my period in December. We used a condom (we also checked for breakage and everything was fine). Now my period is 6 days late. I have cramps and sore breasts, but no flow. Am I paranoid or could I be pregnant???? (I also took 3 preg tests and they were all negative)

Not likely.

Since you've taken all of those tests that came up negative, there is pretty much no chance you're pregnant. You're probably just stressed with worrying about if you're pregnant. Even if you skip this period entirely, it doesn't mean you're pregnant. Home pregnancy tests are pretty accurate, but if you really want to, you can go to a doctor and have a test done there to be sure. It sounds like the symptoms you're experiencing are PMS symptoms....Relax, it means you're probably going to get your period soon.

EDIT: Not to mention that that time of the month is statistically a time you are unlikely to conceive...

yes, condoms are not 100% effective

you always have a chance of being pregnant. There are doctors offices where you can check in w/o a parent if you are over the age of legal consent Usually 16 in most states. Just go and get it all checked out.

Your are definitely paranoid... i think you are stressing yourself out and thats why you haven't started

It is possible, but not probable... give it some time, test again.

You are probably just fine. Wait another week and if you don't get your period, then take another preg test or see the doctor. I many times will get cramps for a day or two without seeing a flow. I used to get sore breasts too, but not any more. Good luck, hope everything is okay.

having sex whether its protected or not theres still a risk of being pregnant if you both checked you both could have looked over any small hole but if your period is late you need to wait maybe another weak or just go to the clinic from the day you think you got pregnant to the day that make it be a month

remember negative test according to the doctors is mostly false negatives your best bet is to go to the clinic
