Answers: how did tell ur mom when u got ur first period?

i was down the shore w/ my family and a day before we left i kinda got my period but it was more of a dark reddish brown not bright red. i was like 14 and i freaked out and got really nervous. i was completely ok w/ it but i didn't want to tell my mom. my best friend was w/ me too. she went down the shore w/ us and thank god because it made me feel a lot better. so i don't remember when but the next day i had my period and i don't remember if i told my friend or my mom first but my mom had to go buy me more underwear and i was kinda freaked out by that because i didn't want my dad to know but i think he did. so anyway my mom freaked out like really really happy. she was sooo happy i was so embarrassed. she was like oh my baby is a women...i was really freaked out by it. my first period was the worst. i was so uncomfortable and grumpy the whole week but i promise you it gets better and now it's like whatever period ew but yeah other then the ew factor it's not that bad....but then again i don't get cramps and i know a lot of girls do....maybe thats why i don't mind....i hope your as lucky as me lol.

say 'mom i just started my period'

Just say " mom I think my peroid started" My mom knew without me telling her cuz I was having AWFUL cramps!!!

I had a 3 year old friend cover. My mum was on the computer and I went to the toilet and came out and told her I got my period so she got me a pad.

hunn...its okayy
just say hey mom
i have my period and yeah
girl its easy its not like
she is going to be mad
at you ....girl it is okayy :]]

I was vacationing in hawaii
I was 12..
actually i told my dad first
and then i went up to the hotel room
and said "Mom i have my period"
she said :O wow luckily I have pads
here let me give u one

Just tell her. lol. Are you scared to tell your mom? Just asking because that's an odd question to need answered. You should have nothing to worry about, what is she gonna bite ya? It's a normal part of life.

My mom was actually out of town so when she called that night I just said, "I got my period earlier." I was staying with my grandparents while she was gone so she asked if they took me to get pads and asked how I was feeling. It was actually a pretty easy conversation.

well i was at a friends house.and i had to pee.and i was bleeding BADD when i wiped.and me and my friend thought i was dieing.and her mom called and told my mom.it was pretty funny now that i look back on it.

my mom asked me like every week so finally im just like umm yeaaa..

all i know is that when i have a daughter i wont make it as awkward, bc there's no reason for it! :)

Well me and my mom had talked about it long before I got mine. I remember when I was around 6 there was blood in the toilet when I peed and I went and told her I had gotten my period. Turns out I had a very bad kidney infection. I was probably around 11 when I really got it and I just went and told her that there was blood when I peed and she got me a pad. I was use to seeing her in the bathroom when she had hers so it was something that was not that big of a deal, until those horrible cramps started up.

Well I got mine half a year before we even learned about them in school and I really had no clue what it was, that morning before school I told my mom that my stomach hurt and I didn't feel like going to school and of course she made me go anyway...

I'll leave out the details and just get to what happened that day after school I came home and told her I needed to go to the doctor when I went to the bathroom there was blood and I was scared (lol crying even cause I had no clue) she called my older sister in the room and told her to give me a pad and explain everything to me.
