no the gas will just bubble up inside you then come out another time over and over again. there is no way gas can get from your anus to your throaght there is to much force pushing down thats why it comes out your bum

Colonic gas does not reflux into the upper GI system. Burps are from the stomach up. There are valves (called sphincters) that are tight enough to prevent upward migration of gas.

no it wont if you hold gas in too long it will build up and gather behind poo in you rectum and cause stomach cramps, best to let it out then! (although preferably not in public)
probably yes, your stomach seem to be grumbling with air, and if your not going to let it out... it will burst into your mouth...

If you hold in a fart it simply migrates back upward into the intestine and comes out later and unfortunatly, a great idea but no. A burp emerges from the stomach and has a different chemical composition from a fart. Farts have less atmospheric gas content and more bacterial gas content than burps.

No it won't. Although it is an interesting thought, the gas can't move back up like that. The fart would eventually come out in your sleep if you held it all day,
