How many points you get for the week depends on how much you weigh now :) For example:

< 150 - 20pt
150-174 - 22pt
175-199 - 24pt

Well my mom did weight watchers and it really works. i could tell by her shape and all.you should try it!

I was in the SAME situation I didnt want to do the meetings so I signed up online.....BIG MISTAKE!!!! after my subscription was up like 6 months later I noticed they were still charging my card!! So be careful. But it did help me knock off some pounds.....
good luck! :-)

That's alot of info!!! Way to much to try and give you online!!
did you try going to the weight watchers sight. I think they let you free trial for a short time. The other way is join and get the points book and the other books they have there on sale and then Quit!!The first two meeting should give you the basics.

Here's a place to get point amounts for basic foods.

YES!! I'm ove 40 (which means it is harder to lose weight as you get older) --- my sister in law went to meetings but she had the family over one night (years ago) and cooked a bunch of weight watchers meals to help us all decide what type of diet we could go on.....I lost 60 lbs -- did NOT go to meetings but bought a few of the cookbooks -- they have FABULOUS recipes. PLUS, at work, I took Healthy Choice frozen foods (they have WW points on the boxes) --- it's a great diet.....I've kept the weight off for over 5 years -- just on maintenance at this point.....plus, it's really healthy.

its too complicated to post here, but NOT too complicated to work. Borrow info from a friend, or try ebay for a start up kit. But it wouldn't hurt to find a local meeting and at least do their "special" which usually is a 10 week plan. As goofy as this sounds, going to the meetings really help "inspire" you...it does work, when u do it.

The weight watchers system is set up based on your height, weight, and body type, so the points you are allowed varies from person to person. And as for the food points, there is an entire book full of points for different foods. In your case the best thing to do is sign up and just not attend the meetings.

Your points depends on your weight. All foods have points. www.dwlz.com has a lot of restaurants listed with points for their foods. You can go to
www.webmilhouse.com/pointcalc.php
for a points calculator to figure out the points for food you would buy at a grocery store or any recipe as long as you know the calories, fat, & fiber.

You're allowed a certain number of points based on your weight. So I would need to know your weight in order to figure out how many points you're allowed. Also one point equals 50 calories, so you can calculate everything that way.

I did Weight Watchers,I didn't stick with it so I can't tell you anything about the program from my own experience but I do know people who have lost weight doing it.The points you are allotted are based on your weight. I could tell you if I knew your weight, plus you are allowed extra points for the week. There are 2 plans. One where you count points and the other where you can only eat from a list of foods so that you don't have to count any points called the Core plan. This plan is more restrictive in my opinion and limits the variety of foods you can eat.

You need to join up to know the points info & it depends on your weight to how many points you can use. Im thinking of doing Weight Watchers again, i loved it & it really works. DONT i repeat DONT go to the Weight Watchers web site & ask points info on the message boards...they can get nasty when you try to get info from them that they have paid for & your not willing too.

Weight Watchers has changed their point system and how many points you get daily. The factors determining your point value are sex, age, height, weight, and activity level. They dont just base it on weight anymore. (If you get me your info, I can tell you how many points you get)

The system does work because you learn how to eat ALL food (unlike Jeny Craig or Nutrisystem where you only eat the food they give you) and you can go out to eat and not go over your point value.

My husband lost 100 pounds and lost 40 when we did it.

Weight Watchers works ok.
You really need to buy the book that converts everything. I think I was allowed 25 points/day. But different people had different points depending on their goal and how much they currently weighted.
I really didn't work that much weight, maybe 4 lbs. I went to my doctor last summer and he put me on Phentermine and I started taking Allie too. Don't let the side effects to Allie scare you.
Honestly, I had a couple of "accidents" the first couple of weeks, but after that, it has been very manageable. And the best part, you can actually see the fat that would have stayed in your body and instead flush it away. I have lost 20 lbs since summer and am almost at my goal weight.
I would go talk to your doctor and see if you qualify for a presciption. It works!

I'm sorry to tell you this but WW are the biggest liars ever. They kill your self esteem and they are as depressing as a AA meeting.
I've lost 40 pounds in 7 months just by going to a gym for 35 min 5 days a week and cutting all those carbs and fats we are well aware we're not supposed to eat. Without Weight Watchers. Believe me my friend. Diets DO work. It is us who mess it up, when it goes wrong.

I do Weight Watchers and I have lost over 100 lbs on it. I haven't paid anything in a while because I got a LiveJournal account and joined all the Weight Watchers groups and they will gladly give you all the information you need. They are awesome!
