I am taking the birth control pill seasonique...?!

Question: you are supposed to have a period every 3 mths. Well I am supposed to start a new pack tomorrow and I have not had a period. I spotted for one day, not even enough for a tampon. Is that my period? I took a pregnancy test today, not pregnant. Is this normal for this pill or is something else wrong?

I am taking Seasonale (similar to Seasonique), and I have had periods that just seemed like spotting (definitely not enough for a tampon). I have been on this pill for 3 years now, and it has occurred sometimes (not everytime though). If you took a pregnancy test and its negative, I wouldn't really worry. If it happens the next time (In 3 months) I would discuss it with your doctor just in case.

I am taking it too and I have never had a problem. Did you take all your pills exactly when you were supposed to? Skipping pills can cause an irregular or delayed period. If you go a couple more days without starting, you may need to call your doctor.

I'm not your mother. but you should seriously concider not taking hormonal BC. It messed with me something fierce! Now that my husband and I want children, we are having problems... Just be forwarned, there are better options!

Seasonique can result in shorter, lighter periods. If you've taken a pregnancy test and it's negative, you should be ok. If you're really concerned, call your doctor. That's what she's there for.
