Answers: okay so i got my period today and i was wondering how many days does the period last???

some of you guys' answers are so INSENSITIVE! (bastards) anyhoo Kirsten is right 4-7 days.

4-7 days

a week or just weeks gl.

The normal is 3-6 days.

the rest of your life

5-6 days

mine lasts either 5,6, or 7 days

It depends on you actually.
But basically about a week.

talk with your mom or a school nurse or even a female role-model

Generally 5-7 days is the standard length, however if you are just starting for the first time, it's normal to be irregular for a while (a year or more) so it may be shorter or longer.

your period lasts about three or four days and luckly mine was during christmas break so no one at school saw

a week

3 first days are the 'worst' day, and another 3 days for drying up

It all depends on the women. Some of us it can last 3 days, other a whole 7 days. Some months also would be different. some Women even get their periods once a Year. Just all of the women are different. Talk to your Family Doctor or Gynecologist.

3-5 days..depends sometimes. i now mines is like for 4-5 days. its all in the genes man.=]

If it last smore than 12 hours you are pregnant. Seek help now by telling your parents what youve been up to.

mine last 7 days.. most people have it for 4-7 days considering its ur first it may be shorter!

normally 4-5 days. Hope i helped!!! *WARNING u also can get really big cramps in ur stomach or back pains!

It really just depends on your hormones and your genes, but it can last from 3-7 days.

4-7 i hear, wait back up...............is it your first? because you don't really just forget how long one was after you had it.(freaky puperty)o_O

depends on the person really, not everyone stays on their period for the same time. it could last 2 days, or it could even last 10 (that would suck). So you wont exactly get an exact answer on here :P

Congratulations to you! Everyone is different - some 3-5, some 4-7. But FIRST periods always tend to be somewhat 'funky'. Your periods should be more regular 2nd to 3rd time around.

Anywhere from 2-7 days is the actual time frame.

It depends. Normally 4 days. But since it's your first period, it'll be abnormal. If it's really heavy it could be as short as 2 days. If it's really light it could be as long as 12 days. EVeryone is different. Mine last 7 days.

all I know is I dont trust anything that bleeds for 5 days and dosn`t die

it depends on you and how your body works it could range from 1-7 days really if u are just beginning its really irregular and it can have a heavy flow or not

hope that helps

the average is about 5-6 depending on how long your menstral cycle is. I just started mine today too, and mine last for 5 days. From the day I start my period to the day before I start my next period is a cycle. For instance, each month the average female cycle is 28 days. her period starts on day one, and around day 28 is the approximate day before her next period.

Actually I am a nurse. Everybody is different. Some people have periods for 3 days and others can have them up to 7 days. There is no general time frame for everybody's period. Congratulations though and welcome to womanhood!

When you are young, it lasts about 5-7 days. WAYYYYY too long to be any fun. You'll get moody and not feel well. That's part of being a woman. Just take extra good care of yourself and always have extra supplies on hand if you need them. Your school nurse probably has info she can give you to read. Welcome to womanhood. Dianne~

How old are you? don't you have someone else (like a mother) to ask this, more like, personal question? is perhaps your first time and there's no one there right now? can you wait for some one more closer then a bunch of strangers(no offense) like us!!!!!!!! sorry but I never heard anyone come up with a so personal situation, but then again who am I right ? just anyone else that wouldn't care, would I? of course not, not that....!!!

Seven weeks the first time. Try to keep from bleeding to death.
