Is it normal to feel sad & feel like crying during PMS?!

Question: I know I'm very sensitive & my feelings get hurt usually, but I think this is the 1st time during PMS that I've felt sad, like I'm about to cry. I feel like I need to cry, but I can't, & I have a headache, low appetite & stomach pains. Well, I pretty much have a reason to be sad, & I suffer depression. Usually, I cry during the ONSET of my sadness. I usually don't cry later. But I woke up this morning, sad & feeling like crying.

Also, my cycle was due yesterday, but it still didn't arrive yet. My period is late. Maybe because of the stress & pressure I'm going through. 2 days ago, I started to feel breast tenderness for this month's PMS.

Oh yes PMS can do horrible things to you. You are young yet so things can change month to month. Especially if your cycle is late, your body is thrown off. I am sorry you are sad; I know how you feel.

If you are taking an antidepressant that could be what is stopping you from crying. The medication dulls your emotions a little.

yes
i cry at spilt milk before mine

It's not abnormal, but are you sure you aren't pregnant?

PMS is the fluctuations of hormones preceeding a period. It normal to cry, fly off the handle and anything in-between during this period. All of your symptoms are perfectly normal. A little exercise (like walking) helps a little with the symptoms.

LOL..YUP ITS NORMAL

yes it's very normal. PMS causes hoormones to go up which causes u to be more emotional.

In some women it is normal to feel sadness and the need to cry when suffering from PMS. Your depression may make your PMS worse. Doctors have started diagnosing PMDD, which is Pre Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder, which is more severe than PMS. You aren't going crazy, but your hormones are. If it becomes overly bothersome you might want to explain it to your doctor.

you might want to get checked out for pmdd. (pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder)
that is what i was diagnosed w/ and they gave me naproxen to help w/ my moods.
because basically what pmdd is is like an advanced version of pms. intense mood changes and such.
it was recently discovered a few years ago.. if you would like more information, i will give you a link

Those are all symptons of PMS. Some of them are also symptons of pregnancy.

waaaaaaaaahhhh! snifff snifff yes lets cry together, us bitches have to stay whiny and not control our emotions thats why were girls right. boo hooey! lets think of the bad **** and dwell, cause that will help right!!! Right,

its normal....dont wry

I feel like that too, i feel soooo depressed like something terrible happened...and it's just a tiring day at work!

It's perfectly normal, don't worry about it at all. When I have PMS I feel depressed, angry and happy all at the same time. Nothing to worry about.

yea is just your hormones...im the same way, i probably cry for no reason like everyother day when im PMSing....and you stressed thats why you havnt started

Yeah that's normal. Sometimes I'll cry myself to sleep when I'm PMSing over nothing! It's the strangest thing!
