Why do I get headaches after sex?!

Question: I am a healthy 20 year old female. The only medication I am on is birth control. Everytime after I have sex I get very bad headaches that usually last hours and sometimes do not go away with over the counter medication. Why could this be happening?

If you have severe pain at climax in the back of your head/neck area it could be a sign of high blood pressure.I had this happen to me and it is definitely painful but with lower blood pressure and relaxation it went away. Get checked! Good luck!
