its not " common " but it does happen. I don't think men are grossed out by it. my oppinion I think were all ugly down there lol and guys love them so I guess they think were pretty.
It's totally normal and common. For some reason, the makers of Playboy have decided that it's not the ideal shape, so they only use ones not like that, and often photoshop in the shape that they like. But other shapes are certainly common, and any guy who is grossed out by it is weird and a pervert with a strange fetish for one type of labia that outweighs his interest in YOU as a person, so you shouldn't date him anyway.

Hi. I don't really know what you are talking about, but I think I do. And if it is, is that when between the lips of your vagina, you have other lips that are longer. I think mine are big and sometimes when I don't wear underwear they rub against my legs when I walk. Is this normal or what you are talking about or anything? Labia are as unique as, well, every single person on Earth lol. They come in so many varieties of shapes, sizes, symmetry or asymmetry, colors...smells lol... The porn industry is responsible for the "normal" (um there is no such thing) labia, which are very tiny and pink, almost non-existent. For whatever reason these are supposed to be attractive, just like massive, round t*ts, tight butts, long legs, fake tans, flat abs, big lips, and whatever else. It's all fake. There is even labiaplasty that a lot of porn stars get to fit this image, just like breast implants or whatever else. The porn industry also sexualizes the idea of youth - female porn stars are young and "nubile" which is actually quite disgusting. Small labia have an almost childlike quality about them (like a pre-pubescent girl) so let's not even get into the psychology behind this. You don't want to have sex with a guy who wants you to look like a little girl, do you?? That's so wrong hah. Anyway....
Whatever you have is COMPLETELY normal. As long as one lip doesn't suddenly start growing or develop any weird marks (which could be cancer or something serious), you're normal. Highly common. Some health experts say women with more estrogen have bigger labia, but I don't know medically if this is true (I'm no doctor lol). Go Google "pictures of labia" and you'll find websites dedicated to answering your very question since so many women think their lady parts are ugly.
I'm not a guy, so you'll have to wait for a guy to give you his opinion on this lol, but from the guy friends I've asked about this and other yahoo answers I've read, guys are just so happy to see a vagina they couldn't care what it actually looks like. If it's clean, that's about all that matters to them! And every guy has his own preference, just like he does for hair color, eye color, breast size, favorite body part, personalities he likes, whatever! Some like 'em small, some like 'em big, they - as long as they're not gay - they just plain love them!!! So you should love yours too. =) If a guy gets hung up on something so petty and superficial, he's a d*ck and you don't need him!

Elongated labia is more common than anyone knows. Think about all of the possible variations of male genitalia: penises can be big, small, fat, skinny, curved, bent; testicles can hang down low or hug the body closely; not to mention the variations of colour and veininess. Therefore, it's entirely possible to see vulvae that come in all shapes and sizes. It would sure help if they told you these things in sex ed or in those retarded puberty books. Put simply, there is no "normal" vulva. Elongated labia is often a sign of higher estrogen levels, which means you just have a little more girl power.
Guys aren't grossed out by elongated labia; in fact, many men love long lips. If you end up with a guy who gives you grief over it, then he's so not worth it. I've heard of guys who denounce long labia, but that's okay; they can spend their days in Playboyland with their tiny tweeters. Enjoy your long, womanly labia; there are many women out there who wish they were a little more well-endowed.
Another point worth noting: soft-core porn like Playboy is generally not allowed to show inner labia because it's seen as being too sexual and explicit; that's why they only show clam-shell vulvae. I guess long-lipped women are just too sexy.
